Stateland Properties is the real estate company behind The Property Investment Guy. We have all the real estate experience, research and qualifications to support your property investing. Mark Scott is an owner and the managing director of Stateland Properties.

The business behind Stateland Propeties can be traced back as a continuously trading business for over half a century, with a specific property investment focus for the last 20 years. Our experience gained by being involved in hundreds of millions of dollar of property transactions, we believe, is unique in the industry.

Our extensive research brings together public, industry and specialist information. This is further enhanced by ‘on the ground’ research by our experienced team. Each of our team has personal investing experience to add that extra degree of understanding.

Stateland Properties has held a real estate licence since its inception. Directors and Staff members hold degree qualifications in science, psychology and management. Financial planning qualifications also assist us in helping our clients. We have a qualified interior designer in house as well for those all-important finishing touches.

Meet Our Team

Mark Scott – Managing Director

Mark has been a director of Stateland Properties for tenyears and is responsible for all the ongoing operations of Stateland Properties. His primary role is to support investor clients by matching their needs to the best fit investment option. Previously, he had fifteen years experience in the Australian resource industry with leading international companies in mining, holding state-wide management responsibilities with 100’s of employees.

Mark has a Bachelor of Science, Diploma in Financial Services (RG146 Compliant), Post-Graduate Certificate in Business Administration, and Certificate in Real Estate Practice.

Gavin Scott – Director

Gavin has been a real estate professional for 32 years. As a Licensed Real Estate Agent (No 110320) he has spent 27 of those years in the position of principal. He has extensive experience in the sale of businesses, commercial property, residential property, vacant land and has coordinated the construction and sale of a large number of multi-unit developments.  Gavin also holds qualifications as a stock and station agent, business agent and auctioneer.

Virginia Scott – Interior Decorator and Marketing

Virginia is responsible for the marketing and administration functions of Stateland Properties as well as being the in-house Interior Decorator and Colour Consultant. She also lends her extensive people skills to the support of clients throughout their investing journey. Virginia has a Bachelor of Arts/Psychology degree and Interior Decorating Certificate IV from Hunter TAFE.

Jamie Retallack – Business Development Manager

Jamie is a Licensed Real Estate Agent who has had an association with Stateland Properties for several years. Jamie’s primary role within the company is to support our affiliate partners.  Jamie has extensive experience in development and renovation of properties within the heart of Sydney, south coast and Newcastle.  He’s conducted property seminars from Sydney to Coffs Harbour.  Jamie also holds qualifications as a Registered Valuer, Residential and Rural Auctioneer, Cert IV Mortgage Broking and diploma in Financial Planning (RG146 Compliant), Member API
